Hide and Seek

We had a little excitement today. We had a visit from the Boulder and Broomfield Sheriff's Department and a few of their detectives. They came by to search our house. They were searching for a lost autistic child that they insisted was hiding in our home. Actually - it was just a transmitter. A detective stopped by this morning and said they were doing a training exercise with the Boulder and Broomfields Sheriff Departments. They asked if we wouldn't mind participating. They had us hide a small transmitter in our home. They had several teams that were driving all over Broomfield and Boulder county looking for the transmitter until they found it. They eventally all converged on our home. It took the teams anywhere from an hour to an hour and half to locate our home and then search our house for the transmitter. The kids thought that this was so cool!!! They happened to be out of school today. We even got our picture taken with one of the teams. You probably can't tell but I am holding the transmitter in my hand. I am amazed out of all the homes in the two counties they would pick ours. After they left, they sat outside our home with all eight of there sheriffs department cars while they talked. I am sure we have the neighbors wondering!!!

So...you say it was just a dril...but what are you REALLY hiding in your house? :)

I bet it was pretty easy for them to find it in your clean house! You amaze me how clean you keep things with your kids. Fun to see your blog up! Keep writing!
